• to promote sustainable tourism , by working with tourism operators to promote travelling by rail.

• to promote links from the rail network to the surrounding areas, by walking, cycling and community transport
• to support events throughout the South Pennines
• to work with socially excluded communities; and projects with schools to encourage rail travel awareness

The Partnership promotes the Penistone Line, The Caldervale line, and the Huddersfield to Manchester Victoria line
